The Four Tops

Photos and Review by Ryan Mullaney

Legendary vocal quartet The Four Tops paid a visit to the F.M. Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on February 23rd, 2019, delivering a lively, high-energy performance that belied their 66-year career as performing artists. Featuring the surviving original member Abdul "Duke" Fakir, as well as an assortment of world-class musicians, The Four Tops showed no interest in slowing down. A diverse audience of all ages packed the Kirby Center, not wishing to leave even when the show was over, proving the longevity of the Motown legends will continue on for years to come, transcending generations, breaking barriers, and inspiring countless future artists to dive headlong into their passions and never look back. That is the true power of music.
